This mid century modern “Sho Rack” freestanding newspaper vending machine features metal construction, white painted finish with swirling gold accents, coin operated spring loaded door with lock & key, and chrome hairpin base.

Condition notes: Original paint job is in good condition. Only slight wear and tear around the edges. It appears that this unit was kept indoors possibly a hotel or diner vestibule. Coin operated mechanism works well. The key is included so it is possible to by-pass the coins. Spring loaded door does not stay opened on its own. Spring would need to be disabled for use as a bar. Overall a very unique piece of newspaper history. 9/10
